Cuban Link Chains
The cuban link chain is the most popular chain style in men’s jewelry, and for good reason. Its flat, interlocking links create a heavyweight look that sits cleanly on the chest without twisting or tangling. At The Gold Gods, our cuban link chains are available in three material tiers and multiple widths so you can find the exact weight and price point you are looking for.
Our 18k gold plated cubans use PVD coating over a stainless steel core for a rich gold tone that holds up to daily wear. Our Italian vermeil cubans layer 14k gold over .925 sterling silver, giving you the weight and feel closer to solid gold at a fraction of the cost. And our solid gold cuban link chains are crafted in 10k and 14k gold for buyers who want the real thing.

What width cuban link chain should I get?
For everyday wear, 6mm-8mm is the most popular range. If you want a bolder statement, go with 10mm or 12mm. Slimmer builds generally look best with 6mm-8mm, while larger frames can carry 10mm-12mm easily.
Will a gold plated cuban link chain turn my neck green?
No. Our plated chains use PVD coating over stainless steel, which is hypoallergenic. PVD is more durable than standard plating and does not contain nickel or copper, so there is no green discoloration.
What is the difference between plated, vermeil, and solid gold?
Plated chains have a thin gold layer over stainless steel. Vermeil has a thicker gold layer (minimum 2.5 microns) over .925 sterling silver, giving more weight and a closer feel to solid gold. Solid gold chains are 10k or 14k gold throughout, with no base metal core.
